Common questions
Why not design a play with no conflict defender for the offense to read?
You can — by committing every defender to one job. But eleven defenders and more than eleven jobs (gaps + zones + men) means someone always has two. Defense is choosing WHERE the conflict lives and hiding it, not eliminating it.
